Parkinson’s Disease happens to be one on the least understood disease around today, and where most post are familiar with cancer and diabetes and HIV/AIDS, few people know as much about Parkinson’s.
Truth is, some people haven’t even heard about it.
Our goal at the Kingdor National Parkinson’s Foundation as conceived by our Chairperson, Mavis Darling-Hill, is to bring a greater awareness to Parkinson’s Disease and educate the public as exhaustively as possible on the signs, symptoms and equip them with the wherewithal necessary to combat the disease.
Separated into two arms, our teams comprises of groups of talented and empathetic individuals working hand in hand to ensure the total achievement of our goals.
Our first arm consist of an administrative advisory board responsible for fundraising, education and training, while our second arm comprises of support groups responsible to visits and outreach programs.
Through our 20 years of existence, the Kingdor National Parkinson’s Foundation has made it a point of pride to never waiver on our mission to provide better lives for people diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and their loved ones.
Through our various fundraising endeavors, runs/walks rallies, workshops, and our [annual gala ball] each year we get closer to our goal. But we realize our mission is one that never truly stops. Part of the beauty is the journey itself. And we are committed now more than ever to never waiver on our part.
